Our Beef

We transport our livestock for slaughter at Cradoc Hill abattoir (ACO Certified ) which is 25 minutes from our farm. Like us, the Cradoc Hill approach to stock handling is a stress minimalised one. The quality of our meat is a testament to this. Carcasses are hung and butchered to order at M&D Butchery Port Cygnet (ACO certified). In the retail outlets our meat is stored in conveniently sized vacuum sealed packaging. The vacuum bags ensure a long life under refrigeration of up to six weeks ( sausages, burgers and mince, 3 to 4 weeks) and a tender eating experience. Be aware that the naturally occurring slightly sulphurous odour when the pack is initially opened will dissipate quickly. We look forward to the day when all Tasmanian butcher shops stock freshly butchered organic meat every day, eliminating the need for plastic packaging. We can produce the full range of beef and pork cuts with a great range of gourmet gluten free sausages.. Yes we can supply organic offal, soup bones, pet mince and dog bones. Available every week.
